A young man has died from head injuries after a motorbike crash<\/a> in South East London in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday, September 30). Road closures are still in place and a forensic tent remains at the scene of the collision.<\/p>\n The man, in his 20s, was found with serious head injuries after being involved in a single-vehicle motorbike collision on Lakedale Road, Plumstead<\/a>, at around 12.08am. He was treated at the scene before being rushed to hospital, where he died shortly after.<\/p>\n A Metropolitan Police<\/a> spokesperson said: \u201cAt 12:08am on Tuesday, September 30 officers, the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance responded to reports of a single-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle on Lakedale Road, Plumstead.<\/p>\n \u201cOne man in 20s was found with significant head injuries. He was treated by paramedics at the scene then quickly taken to hospital. Despite the best efforts of the emergency services and medical staff he died shortly after arriving.<\/p>\n \u201cThe man’s next-of-kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
