Caledonian Sleeper has announced a historic update to its overnight train service\u2019s timetable &#8211; to include Birmingham.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"birminghammail\">There will be a new calling point at <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.birminghammail.co.uk\/\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Birmingham<\/a> International, which will open direct and convenient access for city residents to the Scottish Highlands.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"birminghammail\">In the most significant change to its timetable in over three decades, tickets for the new service will be available from October 1, with the inaugural departure from Birmingham International station scheduled trails and historic sites, all accessible via a comfortable overnight journey.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"birminghammail\">This initiative is part of Caledonian Sleeper&#8217;s broader strategy to adapt and grow in response to market needs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"birminghammail\">The introduction of the service not only enhances leisure travel opportunities for Birmingham data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"birminghammail\">&#8220;Similarly, we believe our new route will be incredibly popular with leisure tourists from Scotland given the wide range of data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"birminghammail\">Richard Parker, Mayor of the West Midlands, said : \u201cFrom next year, the region will welcome a legend of the railway \u2013 the means people from across the West Midlands will soon be able to travel comfortably and sustainably to discover the stunning beauty of northern Scotland.<\/p>\n<p
