A man and woman have been left traumatised after the windows of their Co Londonderry home were smashed in a hammer attack. <\/p>\n

It happened in the Lambeth Way area of Coleraine in the early hours of Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n

PSNI Sergeant Ferriby said it was reported at around 1.05am that a man approached a house in the area and smashed three windows with a hammer.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe suspect left the scene on foot, in the direction of Laurel Hill Road,\u201d they added. <\/p>\n

\u201cA man and woman were inside the house at the time.<\/p>\n

“Thankfully, they were uninjured but have been left shaken by what happened.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sergeant Ferriby appealed to anyone who may have noticed anything suspicious in the Lambeth Way area during this time or who may have noticed a man, who was wearing dark clothing and a face covering, acting suspiciously to contact detectives.<\/p>\n
