A person has been found dead on a railway line. British Transport Police were called at around 6.30am on Wednesday, October 1 to reports of a casualty on the tracks near Eccles railway station.<\/a><\/p>\n Officers responded with paramedics, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner<\/a>, a spokesperson for British Transport Police said.<\/p>\n The incident caused travel disruption with Northern routes between Leeds and Chester, Manchester Airport and Liverpool Lime Street, Manchester Victoria and Chester\/Liverpool Lime Street, and also Wigan North Western and Liverpool Lime Street<\/a><\/p>\n TransPennine Express between Newcastle\/Hull and Liverpool Lime Street were also affected, as well as Transport for Wales between Manchester Airport and Chester\/Llandudno\/Llandudno Junction\/Holyhead.<\/p>\n National Rail said trains are now able to run normally between Manchester Victoria\/Manchester Oxford Road and Newton-le-Willows following the emergency services incident.<\/p>\n Samaritans<\/a> (116 123) operates a 24-hour service available every day of the year.
