Liverpool <\/a>goalkeeper Alisson Becker has issued a message after suffering an injury during the Champions League<\/a> defeat away at Galatasaray. The Brazilian goalkeeper was included in the starting line-up by Arne Slot<\/a> but could not complete the full 90 minutes in Istanbul.<\/p>\n Alisson needed medical attention<\/a> following a save from Victor Osimhen’s effort at RAMS Park in Istanbul, as Liverpool<\/a> were beaten 1-0 by the Super Lig giants<\/a>. As a result, Liverpool introduced Giorgi Mamardashvili<\/a>, who finished the match in goal for Arne Slot’s team.<\/p>\n Now, the Reds shot-stopper has spoken out for the first time since sustaining the injury. May God bless you. We’re together, bro,” read the original post on Instagram. In response, Alisson issued his own reply which read: “Good to see you again, bro.”<\/p>\n After the defeat to Galatasaray<\/a>, Slot provided more details on the injury suffered by Alisson. The Liverpool head coach confirmed he didn’t anticipate Alisson being fit for Liverpool’s upcoming clash<\/a> against Chelsea<\/a> at the weekend..<\/p>\n “When he [Alisson] sprinted back, he felt something,” Slot said on Tuesday.<\/p>\n “I cannot tell you because I am not a physician but normally when a player sprints back and feels something and goes to the floor and doesn\u2019t come back to the pitch \u2013 which by the way they did 112 times being injured and coming back on the pitch without any pain \u2013 but our players don\u2019t do this.<\/p>\n “So if one of our players is on the floor nine times out of 10 I fear the worst, and with the worst I mean he cannot continue and that is what happened with Alisson.<\/p>\n “He will not be able to play Saturday that is 99.9% [sure], I have already said 100.”<\/p>\n Slot also discussed the size of his squad and the impact injuries could have. “I like my squad so much but we don\u2019t have 25 or 26 [players], so if we end up with two, three or four injuries, 15 or 16 players, where Rio [Ngumoha] and Trey [Nyoni] are two of these 15 or 16, need to play almost all the minutes and then things can become complicated,” he said.<\/p>\n “But this is a decision we have made together, I completely believe in this, because if you have 25 it\u2019s very hard to manage your squad.
