Paul Merson<\/a> believes Leeds United<\/a> should sign Raheem Sterling<\/a> from Chelsea<\/a> in the summer transfer window when his Arsenal<\/a> loan ends.<\/p>\n Sterling has failed to make much of an impact<\/a> on the pitch for the Gunners this season after heading to the Emirates in August in a temporary switch.<\/p>\n The 30-year-old, capped 82 times by England<\/a>, will soon head back to Stamford Bridge but there has been speculation over his future at Chelsea.<\/p>\n Merson feels Leeds, who recently secured promotion to the Premier League<\/a> for the 2025-26 season, should bring Sterling to Elland Road.<\/p>\n \u2018Leeds should look at Raheem Sterling\u2019<\/p>\n \t\t\t\tGet personalised updates on Chelsea every day\t\t\t<\/p>\n Wake up to find news on your club in your inbox every morning with Metro\u2019s Football Newsletter. <\/p>\n Sign up to our newsletter<\/a> and then select your team in the link we\u2019ll send you so we can get football news tailored to you.<\/p>\n \u2018If I was Leeds United, I\u2019d be looking at Raheem,\u2019 the football pundit and former Arsenal star told Sky Sports<\/a>. \u2018They\u2019re a young team. <\/p>\n \u2018They like to play attacking football. He\u2019s very good in the dressing room and a good team player. He\u2019s got all the experience in the world, he\u2019s won Premier Leagues. <\/p>\n \t\t \u2018For me, that wouldn\u2019t be a bad move for Leeds or for Sterling. He\u2019d be going to a massive, huge club and the expectations are not as high. <\/p>\n \u2018If they finish 17th in the Premier League next year they\u2019ve pulled up trees. That would be one that would tick the box for me.\u2019<\/p>\n Sterling is under contract at Chelsea until 2027 and has provided 19 goals and 15 assists across 81 games for the west London club to date.<\/p>\n \t\t At Arsenal this season, Sterling has made 26 appearances, scoring once and registering five assists.<\/p>\n Sterling joined Chelsea from Manchester City in 2022, with the Blues paying \u00a347.5m for his services.<\/p>\n The winger enjoyed a trophy-laden spell at the Etihad, winning four Premier League titles, one FA Cup and the Carabao Cup five times.<\/p>\n \t\t Sterling was a key figure for England under former boss Gareth Southgate, with the Three Lions finishing as runners-up at Euro 2020.<\/p>\n In 2019, Sterling was named FWA Footballer of the Year and PFA Young Player of the Year.<\/p>\n Sterling also spent three years at Liverpool prior to joining City and was named their Young Player of the Season in 2014 and 2015.<\/p>\n Leeds United could sack head coach Daniel Farke despite promotion<\/p>\n Meanwhile, the Daily Mail<\/a> report that Leeds could sack their head coach Daniel Farke this summer despite their promotion from the Championship.<\/p>\n The Leeds hierarchy are thought to be concerned over Farke\u2019s Premier League record managing former club Norwich City in the top-flight.<\/p>\n Kjetil Knutsen is the current favourite to replace Farke, according to OLBG<\/a>, with Edin Terzic and ex-Everton boss Sean Dyche also linked to the role.<\/p>\n Arrow Arrow![\"Chelsea](\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/GettyImages-2166477903.jpg\")
