As it turns out, the\u00a0Princess of Wales<\/strong> was not behind her wedding day makeup. While it was previously reported<\/a> that Catherine had chosen to do her makeup for her wedding to\u00a0Prince William<\/strong>, it has now emerged 14 years later that that was not the case. While promoting her book Still Bobbi on the\u00a0Breaking Beauty podcast,\u00a0Bobbi Brown\u00a0<\/strong>spoke about one of her artists doing the royal bride’s makeup in 2011 with Bobbi Brown Cosmetics.<\/p>\n

“I did not do her makeup. I wish I did. It was one of my artists, Hannah Martin<\/strong>, who’s become quite a sensation in the UK,” Bobbi said on an episode of the podcast, released on Sept. 24.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Bobbi Brown founder recalled Hannah, who did Catherine<\/a>‘s makeup, giving her “some information that I should set my alarm and watch.” Bobbi said, “Her and I were texting. I was sitting up, I remember it was like six in the morning or something and we were texting back and forth and she’s like, ‘Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God.'”<\/p>\n

Asked if she was allowed to credit, Bobbi replied, “We didn’t as a company use it. No one did that back then. It wasn’t the right thing to do.”<\/p>\n

Though Bobbi ended up receiving a note. She shared, “I did get a note, though, that I guess I have hanging now in my office in Montclair. Not from Kate, but from her person that wrote her letters saying how much she appreciated the makeup.”<\/p>\n

According to TODAY.com<\/a>, Bobbi wrote in her book\u2014which came out on Sept. 23\u2014about Catherine wearing “Bobbi Brown Cosmetics on her wedding day.” “I was obsessed with the royal family,” the author penned, “so this was a huge honor, as well as evidence that my concept of beauty had impacted the world. It was hard to believe how far makeup had taken me.”<\/p>\n

Catherine married Prince William at London’s Westminster Abbey on April 29, 2011.
