Is he right?"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul class=\"mol-bullets-with-font\">\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Cast your vote on the biggest talking points of the day, every day at 12pm\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Final results will be announced in tomorrow&#8217;s poll\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"author-section byline-plain\">By DAILY MAIL REPORTER <\/p>\n<p class=\"byline-section\"> Published:  07:00 EDT, 1 October 2025   |  Updated:  07:00 EDT, 1 October 2025   <\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Sir <a style=\"font-weight: bold;\" target=\"_self\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/keir-starmer\/index.html\" id=\"mol-a2b66750-9ea9-11f0-a980-816415777119\" rel=\"noopener\">Keir Starmer<\/a> stepped up his war on Reform UK today by blaming <a style=\"font-weight: bold;\" target=\"_self\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/brexit\/index.html\" id=\"mol-a2d8e370-9ea9-11f0-a980-816415777119\" rel=\"noopener\">Brexit<\/a> for the <a style=\"font-weight: bold;\" target=\"_self\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/english-channel\/index.html\" id=\"mol-a2e0f9c0-9ea9-11f0-a980-816415777119\" rel=\"noopener\">English Channel<\/a> migrant crisis and dubbing the small boats &#8216;Farage boats&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">The Prime Minister said <a style=\"font-weight: bold;\" target=\"_self\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/nigel_farage\/index.html\" id=\"mol-a2c49820-9ea9-11f0-a980-816415777119\" rel=\"noopener\">Nigel Farage<\/a> <a style=\"font-weight: bold;\" target=\"_self\" class=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-15151135\/Keir-Starmer-forced-retreat-says-formidable-Nigel-Farage-NOT-racist-denying-speech-claiming-Reform-leader-doesnt-like-Britain-safety-risk.html\" rel=\"noopener\">had been &#8216;wrong&#8217; to claim that leaving the<\/a> <a style=\"font-weight: bold;\" target=\"_self\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/european-union\/index.html\" id=\"mol-a2da1bf0-9ea9-11f0-a980-816415777119\" rel=\"noopener\">European Union<\/a> would make no difference to migration policy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Sir Keir pointed to the Dublin Convention that allowed pre-Brexit Britain to return some asylum seekers to the continent.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">He told <a style=\"font-weight: bold;\" target=\"_self\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/gb-news\/index.html\" id=\"mol-a2da9120-9ea9-11f0-a980-816415777119\" rel=\"noopener\">GB News<\/a>: &#8216;I would gently point out to Nigel Farage and others that before we left the EU, we had a returns agreement with every country in the EU and he told the country it would make no difference if we left.
