Kelly McKee Zajfen<\/strong> is grateful to have had Meghan Markle<\/strong><\/a> as a friend for over 15 years.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve actually known her for almost 20 years?\u201d Zajfen, 45, wrote via her Instagram Story during a Q&A with followers on Sunday, September 28. \u201cShe even came to my wedding (15 years ago!), and she\u2019s been the most amazing, nurturing, fun, loving human.\u201d<\/p>\n

Zajfen shared that Meghan, 44, has been by her side for years, especially after the death of her son George. (George died in 2022 at age 9 after suffering from COVID-19 and viral meningitis.)<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s been by my side, especially since Georgie died, and I cherish our friendship very much,\u201d Kelly, who also shares daughter Lily with husband Julian Zajfen<\/strong>, gushed.<\/p>\n

Following the death of George, Meghan has continued to show up for the Alliance of Moms cofounder in several ways, including by donating to a GoFundMe set up in George\u2019s name and making a surprise appearance at the Children\u2019s Hospital Los Angeles 2024 Gala.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy deepest gratitude to Children\u2019s Hospital Los Angeles for the extraordinary care they give (and to continue to give) to our daughter Lily,\u201d Kelly wrote via Instagram<\/a> in October 2024 with a photo of her and Meghan from the event. \u201cOur journey began when she was just two and a half, and from that day forward, we\u2019ve experienced nothing but kindness, hope, care and unmatched expertise. Our team at Children\u2019s has given us strength and hope during the most challenging moments and their continued commitment to Lily\u2019s care has made all the difference to our family.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kelly shared that she was \u201cbeyond grateful\u201d to have \u201cone of [her] closest friends\u201d attend the event with her.<\/p>\n
