Questions. Hull KR have answered a lot of them in the last two seasons. In fact, every time one is thrown at them, they have answered it.<\/p>\n
Can they win outside of Yorkshire? Can they win a final? Can they handle the pressures of a Derby knock-out as favourites? Can they back up after winning a final? Can they win in Catalans? Can they beat Wigan?<\/p>\n
Many others have been thrown at them beyond that, too. There has been a common trend. They have answered every single one. Emphatically.<\/p>\n
And here we are again, on the eve of a play-off semi-final, another question posed of this team.<\/p>\n
Do they have the energy?<\/p>\n
It’s clear that Willie Peters is bored with those questions. In Wednesday’s press conference, he simply shut down anything related to that with a response to the tune similar to “Let’s see on Saturday.”<\/p>\n
That, fundamentally, is Hull KR’s best way to answer. It’s also the way they have responded to everything else. They’ve never tried to convince anyone that they can do it. They’ve just gone and done it.<\/p>\n
So you can understand why Peters has the confidence he does in this group. He speaks a lot about evidence and how it produces belief. He has proof that his team will answer the questions asked of them.<\/p>\n
