In the video, Carrera excitedly declares her upcoming scene, before devolving into a screaming fit over her lines being removed and her role being re-cast.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey literally \u2014 this is my scene!,\u201d she yelled.<\/p>\n
The attendees at the watch party largely sit in awkward silence, before turning the show off during the supposed \u201ccrash out\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cDo you come in later?\u201d one attendee asked.<\/p>\n
\u201cNo, this is literally my scene,\u201d Carrera responded before screaming and walking away upset.<\/p>\n
Given Carrera\u2019s history of viral, often times \u201ccrash out\u201d themed videos where she has at times dramatised her reaction to pretend bad things have happened, reception online and to 7NEWS has been a justifiable mix of sympathy and scepticism.<\/p>\n
Originally from Florida, Carrera has gained a following as both a social media comedian and a legitimate actress, with credit appearances in 43 other movies and series, including NBC\u2019s Found.<\/p>\n

Mixed in with the scepticism of the content being satire were supportive retorts, echoing what Carrera wrote on her Instagram.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe was listed on the IMDb up until a few hours ago,\u201d a user wrote.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe was actually in this and shot it tho (sic),\u201d fellow comedian and influencer Mitsy Sanderson wrote.<\/p>\n
\u201cBrittney does do skits but this is actually 100 per cent a real thing that happened to her. She is my roommate,\u201d comedian and social media personality Spencer Goldman said on Instagram.<\/p>\n

She posted the trailer to the show as well as on-set photos back in 2024 just so she could post a satirical video showing her being replaced and making the studio look like assholes in the process? Meanwhile, the studio doesn\u2019t repost it or comment saying it\u2019s a joke or anything? That was the big publicity stunt by the studio?\u201d, user Unrenderedmedia commented.<\/p>\n

A source close to Carrera spoke to 7NEWS confirming her legitimate involvement in the series, originally shot in 2024 in Atlanta in scenes which now feature Welch.<\/p>\n
Welch has since reached out to Carrera privately, and the two are amicable.<\/p>\n

Before the show\u2019s premiere on September 30, Carrera shared a series of behind-the-scenes photos from the set of the show, including her wardrobe, trailer, name on the call sheet, and Powell\u2019s character\u2019s prosthetic mask.<\/p>\n
Carrera\u2019s IMDb also previously listed Chad Powers among the actresses roles.<\/p>\n
It is unclear when the credit removal happened, but AI summarisation of Carrera\u2019s career still shows the IMDb listing in its data, implying the removal was recent.<\/p>\n

The controversy also comes at a bad time for Hulu, whose parent company Disney recently underwent significant backlash for the cancellation of Jimmy Kimmel Live! following criticism from FCC Chair Brendan Carr, as a result of Kimmel\u2019s comments about Charlie Kirk\u2019s death.<\/p>\n
