Chris Wilder has spoken to Patrick Bamford<\/a> about his X-rated chant as Leeds<\/a> celebrated promotion – but claims there is no ill-feeling between the pair. The striker led their fanbase in singing “Wilder is a w*****”<\/a> after their spot in the Premier League<\/a> was confirmed.<\/p>\n Leeds hammered Stoke 6-0 at Elland Road and then had to wait a could of hours for their promotion to be confirmed<\/a>, which came courtesy of Burnley’s win over Sheffield United. Supporters stuck around at the stadium and celebrated with their players.<\/p>\n The Whites’ rivalry with the Blades is well documented and Bamford was more than happy to mock the Sheffield United boss, but later got on the phone with Wilder. The 57-year-old held no grudge and was more than happy to give it and take it.<\/p>\n Wilder also spoke to Leeds boss Daniel Farke but was only complimentary about Leeds and maintained that the mocking of him didn’t serve as an extra motivation as his Blades outfit prepare for a play-off tilt in an effort to get back into the top flight.<\/p>\n He said: “I don’t need any of that (extra motivation). I’m a big boy, you give it you take it. You give it out locally you take it locally. We have our moments, other teams have their moments. Had a conversation with Pat yesterday as well, absolutely no issue at all with it. Not sure about the words used from a fellow pro but I appreciate and respected him giving me a call and we had 20 minutes. I spoke to Daniel as well, he’s a super guy. Wilder went to hit out at the Leeds players, labelling Bamford a “muppet.”<\/p>\n Leeds were able to take advantage of Sheffield United’s recent slump to secure promotion. The Whites themselves had endured a dip in form, winning just one in six, but recovered and went on to win four on the bounce to secure their spot in the Premier League.<\/p>\n The Blades meanwhile, having put themselves in control of their own destiny, have gone on to lose four of their last five games. That included defeats to Oxford and Plymouth, who are both in the midst of a relegation battle with the Sheffield United fans turning on their own players.<\/p>\n Leeds secured the double over Sheffield United this season. They dealt them a 2-0 defeat early in the campaign at Elland Road before securing a statement win at Bramall Lane. Leeds scored twice in the final minutes as they enjoyed a 3-1 win.<\/p>\n Farke, who was in charge when Leeds lost the play-off final 12 months ago, said as he celebrated promotion: \u201cThis is one of the most emotional clubs in this country, so it\u2019s never easy \u2013 it\u2019s a heavy shirt to wear, and we have delivered in great style.
