The renowned design studio Macaulay Sinclair has collaborated with The Devonshire on the Soho<\/a> pub<\/a>\u2019s new private dining rooms.<\/p>\n

The expansion has added circa 90 covers to the pub\u2019s dining capacity, with three separate spaces available for hire.<\/p>\n

Late last year, the pub\u2019s founders Ois\u00edn Rogers, Charlie Carroll and Ashley Palmer-Watts<\/a> set out plans to take on the adjacent building on Sherwood Street, adding a new entrance and interconnecting the premises with the existing site.<\/p>\n

At the entrance of the new area, there\u2019s a one-way mirror looking into the main pub, and a Guinness<\/a> hatch \u2014 nicknamed the badger hatch \u2014 for the quick service of drinks.<\/p>\n

The rooms \u2014 named after David Bowie, Amy Winehouse<\/a> and John Lennon \u2014 are spread across two floors of the building, with two on the third and one on the fourth. Each one is different and painted in rich shades of blue or red, while the Devonshire\u2019s now famous green makes an appearance too. The Standard understands that the Bowie room was originally named for former Family Fortunes presenter Les Dennis, but Rogers had a last minute change of heart.<\/p>\n

All are filled with art pieces, many by famous painters, and come with views out into Soho\u2019s bustling Denman Street.<\/p>\n

The Devonshire\u2019s much-loved food menu is available to order, with dishes such as crab salad, prawn cocktail, and wagyu steak on offer<\/a>. Diners can request tableside crepe suzette should they wish.<\/p>\n

Ian Roome, director at Macaulay Sinclair, said: \u201cIt\u2019s a real privilege to be working with this well-loved London<\/a> establishment.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith such an iconic, historic building, we wanted to ensure that the new space would reflect the building\u2019s history, as well as the critically acclaimed food offering and truly British atmosphere that it has become revered for.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rogers <\/a>said of the opening: \u201cThese rooms are about having spaces where guests who need privacy can feel comfortable, safe, happy and well looked after \u2013 that same sense of timeless quality and generosity \u2013 just in more intimate spaces.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe want people to feel like they\u2019ve discovered something special, while still being properly looked after and leaving us with great memories.\u201d<\/p>\n
