Wilfried Gnonto will also miss a third consecutive game with a calf complaint.

“I have to confirm Daniel James will be out for a few weeks,” said Farke. “He has, sadly, rolled his ankle in training. The doctors say he’s likely to be out from four to six weeks.

“That means, realistically, we would just expect him back after the November international break. If he was available even before for one or two games would be a nice little bonus and a surprise, but he’s definitely out for a few weeks.

“Willy Gnonto will also miss this game. His calf problems are not sorted. He’s not back in team training, so there’s no chance to involve him for the game.

“He will also, sadly, just be back after this upcoming international break.”

Sixteen-year-old Harry Gray is also rated as a doubt by Farke. The forward is yet to feature this season, but trains with the first team and developed an issue with a hip flexor while playing for the under-21s against Norwich City on Monday.

“There are a few question marks behind Harry Gray because he reported, after he played the (under-21) game on Monday, some problems with his hip flexor,” said Farke. “I’m not sure at the moment if he will be available for the call-up on Saturday.”

Goalkeeper Lucas Perri returned to team training on Wednesday but is unlikely to threaten Karl Darlow’s place until after the imminent international break.

“Some good news is Lucas Perri is back in team training since yesterday,” Farke added. “It’s too early to involve him for this game, but the international break will be beneficial.

“We have two more weeks of training and I expect him then also to be available for our games.”

Leeds return to action against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

(Photo: Jack Thomas/Getty Images)

Leeds United may be without Dan James until the November international break after the winger rolled his ankle…

[8814
748,393,4884,1860,2922,16,15
0":"post-468598","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-leeds","8":"tag-britain","9":"tag-england","10":"tag-great-britain","11":"tag-leeds","12":"tag-leeds-united","13":"tag-uk","14":"tag-united-kingdom
["GET
