Harle has also announced a European tour\u2014scroll down for the dates.<\/p>\n<p>Harle says of the new song, \u201c\u2018Azimuth\u2019 felt like the finalisation of an approach that Caroline and I had been orbiting for some time as a way of putting her voice into my music\u2014I sometimes call it the \u2018trance siren.\u2019 You can hear manifestations of it in tracks like \u2018Insomnia\u2019 from Pang and \u2018On the Beach\u2019 from Death Stranding 2, but this was the first time I managed to translate it into my style of dance music. Azimuth\u2019s melody could only have been sung by Caroline, it is designed around her voice, I couldn\u2019t imagine anyone else singing it or giving a performance like that. It also allowed us to play with scale, space and quietness in a way I\u2019ve never done before. For me, \u2018Azimuth\u2019 is a trance ballad, despairing but hopeful, best heard in a in club in a sunken cathedral.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAzimuth\u201d\u00a0is Harle\u2019s follow-up to the <a href=\"https:\/\/pitchfork.com\/artists\/pinkpantheress\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PinkPantheress<\/a> collaboration \u201cStarlight,\u201d released in July. That was his first solo release since his formal solo debut LP, 2021\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/pitchfork.com\/reviews\/albums\/danny-l-harle-harlecore\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Harlecore<\/a>. Polachek shared her own first post\u2013<a href=\"https:\/\/pitchfork.com\/reviews\/albums\/caroline-polachek-desire-i-want-to-turn-into-you\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Desire, I Want to Turn Into You<\/a> single, \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/pitchfork.com\/news\/watch-caroline-polachek-perform-new-song-dang-on-colbert\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dang<\/a>,\u201d in October last year. Since then, she has released \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/pitchfork.com\/news\/caroline-polachek-shares-new-song-starburned-and-unkissed-listen\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Starburned and Unkissed<\/a>,\u201d from <a href=\"https:\/\/pitchfork.com\/reviews\/albums\/various-artists-i-saw-the-tv-glow-original-soundtrack\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the I Saw the TV Glow soundtrack<\/a>, and made an unexpected appearance on the post-rock band <a href=\"https:\/\/pitchfork.com\/artists\/caroline\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Caroline<\/a>\u2019s album <a href=\"https:\/\/pitchfork.com\/reviews\/albums\/caroline-caroline-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Caroline 2<\/a>.
