Cole Escola<\/strong>\u2019s award-winning Broadway comedy Oh, Mary!<\/a> <\/strong>will make its UK debut at London\u2019s Trafalgar Theatre<\/strong> this winter.<\/p>\n

Direct from Broadway, Oh, Mary! will play a strictly limited season at the Trafalgar Theatre from 3 December 2025 to 25 April 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Mason Alexander Park<\/a><\/strong> (Cabaret) is set to star as Mary Todd Lincoln<\/strong>, with Olivier Award winner Giles Terera<\/a><\/strong> (Hamilton, Othello) playing Mary\u2019s Husband, Abraham Lincoln.<\/p>\n

Rounding out the cast are Kate O\u2019Donnell<\/a><\/strong> (Big Girl\u2019s Blouse) as Mary\u2019s Chaperone, Louise; Oliver Stockley<\/a><\/strong> (Cabaret) as Mary\u2019s Husband\u2019s Assistant, Simon; and Dino Fetscher<\/a><\/strong> (The Normal Heart, Netflix\u2019s Fool Me Once) as Mary\u2019s Teacher.<\/p>\n

The West End premiere is helmed by Sam Pinkleton<\/strong>, who won the Tony Award for Best Direction of a Play for the Broadway production.<\/p>\n

Described as \u201cthe funniest play in years\u201d (Time Out New York) and \u201ca work of deranged beauty\u201d (New York Magazine), Oh, Mary! blends history, heartbreak, and full-blown camp with riotous results!<\/p>\n

The comedy centres on a miserable, suffocated Mary Todd Lincoln in the weeks leading up to Abraham Lincoln\u2019s assassination. Unrequited yearning, booze, and suppressed desires abound in this 80-minute one-act play that examines the forgotten life and dreams of Mrs. Lincoln, through the lens of an idiot (playwright Cole Escola).<\/p>\n

First staged in New York in 2024, Oh, Mary! became an instant critical and commercial hit. The Broadway production earned widespread acclaim, winning two Tony Awards \u2013 Best Leading Actor in a Play for Cole Escola and Best Direction of a Play for Sam Pinkleton, along with multiple Drama League Awards. It was also named a Pulitzer Prize finalist.<\/p>\n

On Broadway, the show is currently headlined by Hannah Solow, with theatre and TV star Jane Krakowski<\/a> announced to take on the role for eight weeks this autumn<\/a> on Broadway, alongside Cheyenne Jackson and John-Andrew Morrison<\/a>. The show has seen a rotating cast of celebrities and actors take on the roles.<\/p>\n

The full creative team includes dots<\/strong> (Scenic Designer),\u00a0Holly Pierson<\/strong>\u00a0(Costume Designer),\u00a0Cha See<\/strong>\u00a0(Lighting Designer),\u00a0Daniel Kluger <\/strong>(Sound Design and Music),\u00a0Drew Levy<\/strong>\u00a0(Sound Designer),\u00a0Leah J. Loukas<\/strong>\u00a0(Wig Designer) and David Dabbon<\/strong> (Arrangements), with Casting by\u00a0Stuart Burt CDG<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Trafalgar Theatre run in the West End will mark the play\u2019s first international transfer, with demand for tickets expected to be high following its record-breaking success on Broadway.<\/p>\n

The executive producers of Oh, Mary! in London are Wessex Grove.<\/p>\n
