Kirk Hammett<\/a> co-founded pedal brand KHDK Electronics<\/a> has branched out into guitar building, with a range of new models debuted at the recent Guitar Summit 2025 in Mannheim, Germany.<\/p>\n

While info is relatively sparse at this time, we do know that the guitars unveiled sport some unconventional shapes, which some commenters have picked up on\u2026<\/p>\n

That said, it looks like some of the shapes are inspired by classic designs, including a model reminiscent of a Les Paul with P-90 pickups and Bigsby vibrato, an Explorer-style model, and what looks to be an SG-inspired double cut.<\/p>\n

In response to one user on its Instagram post unveiling the guitars, who wrote, \u201cI\u2019m so sick of copyrights, all it does is make companies release ugly guitar shapes,\u201d KHDK simply replied: \u201cWe love ugly guitars.\u201d<\/p>\n

As we say, information surrounding spec sheets for these guitars or pricing is few and far between at this stage, but we\u2019ll endeavour to keep you in the loop as we know more\u2026<\/p>\n

Founded in 2012 by Kirk Hammett and collaborator David Karon, KHDK has, until now, been a pedal brand, with signature stompboxes designed for the likes of Deftones\u2019 Chino Moreno, Anthrax\u2019s Scott Ian and Avenged Sevenfold\u2019s Zacky Vengeance.<\/p>\n

The brand\u2019s foray into electric guitars is a bold one, and a move not often undertaken by pedal brands.<\/p>\n
