Leeds United<\/a> goalkeeper Illan Meslier<\/a> needs to leave the club to jumpstart his career, and Inter Milan might be the surprise next destination for him.<\/strong><\/p>\n

During the summer window, it seemed clear as day that United would not be starting the Premier League season with Illan Meslier between the sticks.<\/p>\n

Lucas Perri\u2019s arrival from Lyon made sure of that, with Karl Darlow sitting as second choice. However, the Frenchman remains at the club despite toppling down the pecking order in a matter of months in 2025.<\/p>\n

The Nerazzurri believe they could be getting a significant coup if they land Meslier for free in the summer of 2026, while United are still looking to bring in a transfer fee for the \u2018keeper by selling him in the January window.<\/p>\n

Career lifeline looms for Illan Meslier as Inter Milan come calling this January<\/p>\n

It\u2019s remarkable to see how Meslier has gone from being one of the most highly-rated \u2018keepers in Europe as a teenager, to where he\u2019s at now.<\/p>\n

Under Marcelo Bielsa when we finished 9th in the Premier League, he looked like a ridiculous goalkeeping talent. Since then, it\u2019s unfortunately been all downhill for him.<\/p>\n

Everyone is in agreement, probably including Meslier himself, that the only way his career progresses from here is a transfer away from Leeds.<\/p>\n

That lifeline could come in a really intriguing manner if Inter are the side that sign him, knowing he\u2019d be going from a high-pressure Elland Road, to one of the biggest clubs in world football.<\/p>\n

For United, a PSR boost from his sale would be a nice way to kickstart the January window.<\/p>\n
