After all, we’ve only been handed one very brief trailer up until now.

Admittedly, Wada doesn’t give much away, but his answer suggests that Revival is going to be very similar to Persona 3 Reload in terms of scope.

He explains: “Persona 4 already packed a ton of content in Persona 4 Golden, so when it comes to creating the next “R,” it’s not just about adding more — we have to create an experience that’s enjoyable in a new and different way.”

Indeed, Reload didn’t try to redefine the original Persona 3. In the end, it was a very faithful remake with regards to story and structure, but at the same time, it felt like a new game. We think that’s what Wada’s getting at here.

Having said that, it does sound like there’s going to be one big difference between the two remakes. Reload was based on the initial PS2 release of Persona 3 — not the expanded FES version. Instead, Episode Aigis — which covered the content of FES — was added as paid DLC.

In contrast, it’s assumed that Revival will be using the expanded Persona 4 Golden as its base instead of the original Persona 4. Wada obviously points to this being the case in the above quote, but Revival’s announcement trailer also featured a music track specifically from Golden.

Wada continues: “To be honest, it’s a tough challenge. But it’s shaping up nicely!”

As for when we’ll actually get to see Revival again… well, we could be waiting on that for a while. Publisher SEGA isn’t expecting the remake to launch until at least fiscal year 2027.

And on that note, don’t even think about mentioning Persona 6 in the comments section below.

As you’d expect, Atlus isn’t quite ready to talk about Persona 4 Revival in any real detail just…

[7
31124,32372,55,53,16,15
0":"post-471080","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-technology","8":"tag-atlus","9":"tag-persona","10":"tag-ps5","11":"tag-technology","12":"tag-uk","13":"tag-united-kingdom
["GET
