The affected services will be between Swansea and Carmarthen, Milford Haven, and Pembroke Dock. It will be in place on Saturday, October 4, and Sunday, October 5. It is a result of engineering work taking place between Llanelli and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.walesonline.co.uk\/all-about\/carmarthen\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Carmarthen;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Carmarthen<\/a> closing all lines.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The routes affected are the Great Western Railway service between London Paddington and Carmarthen affecting routes between Manchester Piccadilly and Milford Haven, between Hereford and Fishguard Harbour, and between <a href=\"https:\/\/www.walesonline.co.uk\/all-about\/cardiff\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Cardiff;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Cardiff<\/a> Central and Milford Haven.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Routes will also be affected between <a href=\"https:\/\/www.walesonline.co.uk\/all-about\/newport\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Newport;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Newport<\/a> and Milford Haven and also between <a href=\"https:\/\/www.walesonline.co.uk\/all-about\/swansea\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Swansea;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Swansea<\/a> and Haverford West, Pembroke Dock, and Fishguard Harbour.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">National Rail has issued the following advice for individual train operators.<\/p>\n<p><b>Great Western Railway<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><b>Saturday<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">No trains will run between Swansea and Carmarthen.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">You can use Transport for Wales replacement buses at no extra cost.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><b>Sunday<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Buses will replace trains between Swansea and Carmarthen.<\/p>\n<p><b>Transport for Wales<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Buses will replace trains between Swansea and Carmarthen, Pembroke Dock, Milford Haven, and Fishguard Harbour.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">National Rail states: &#8220;This vital work will maintain the continued safe and reliable running of train services for years to come.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">It advises people to plan their journey through its journey planner.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">It adds: &#8220;Please be advised that replacement vehicles may be busier than usual.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;You should allow extra time for your journey.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><b>Get <b>Swansea news updates<\/b> on your phone by joining <a href=\"https:\/\/chat.whatsapp.com\/CtY7nhayviOGFJI6FJ0x0p\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:our WhatsApp community here;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">our WhatsApp community here<\/a>.
