Do you\u00a0enjoy\u00a0the finer things in life? Perhaps you only drink wine from Bordeaux,\u00a0wear exclusively cashmere jumpers, or do the weekly shop at the Ritz<\/a> of supermarkets, Waitrose.\u00a0<\/p>\n

If this is you, you\u2019re going to want to\u00a0hear about this. Five\u00a0Waitrose shops in London\u00a0are getting a grand makeover, with new bakeries, refrigerators and improved checkouts.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Waitrose outposts in Marylebone<\/strong>, Clerkenwell<\/strong>, Coulsdon<\/strong>, Crouch End<\/strong> and Old Brompton Road<\/strong>\u00a0have all either already had a glow-up or will undergo one in the near future.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Shops in Marylebone and Clerkenwell have already revealed their facelifts. Both stores now boast a new look bakery, improved fruit and veg sections, a new selection of John Lewis gifts, new fridges for\u00a0improved energy efficiency plus self service as well as staffed checkouts. Waitrose Marylebone shoppers have also been treated to enhanced\u00a0meat and fish counters as well as an entire\u00a0counter dedicated to dry aged beef and an updated wine selection, including chilled white wine and champagne. La di da.\u00a0<\/p>\n

According to Waitrose, bestsellers in the new-and-improved shops include smoked salmon, speciality blueberries, all butter croissants, and Clarence Court Burford Brown eggs.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The makeovers of Waitrose and Little Waitrose stores in Coulsdon, Crouch End and Old Brompton Road are expected to be complete by the end of the year, with the supermarket promising to upgrade even more shops in the capital in 2026.\u00a0This news comes as\u00a0Waitrose has just opened a new convenience store in Wandsworth, which is part of the supermarket\u2019s \u00a31 billion plan to expand across the UK.\u00a0<\/p>\n
