At the time of King Edward\u2019s young adult life and subsequent, if short-lived, reign, the royal was among the first to be continuously photographed and the subject of early video camera footage. <\/p>\n

\n\tAs such, the royal quickly became a fashion trendsetter, styling the Prince of Wales check pattern, which is composed of small, fine lines creating a checkered motif. Before Kate Middleton, Princess Diana and Prince Charles both employed the Prince of Wales check in their respective wardrobes. Even celebrities like Cate Blanchett <\/a>have styled the pattern, notably during The Championships, Wimbledon in July.<\/p>\n

\n\tFinal touches for Middleton\u2019s business look included a pair of Gianvito Rossi suede pumps and a pop of color with her sapphire and diamond oval drop earrings, an accessory she\u2019s donned in the past that complements her engagement ring, which previously belonged to the late Princess Diana.<\/p>\n
