War Horse the story of Joey the horse and his owner young Albert is set during the First World War. <\/p>\n

The story may be well known but the vision on stage remains awe-inspiring and on Friday Joey and his handlers walked onto the stage at Edinburgh Festival Theatre.<\/p>\n

This tour of War Horse<\/strong> marks 110 years since the start of the First World War and follows the 40th anniversary of the publication of Michael Morpurgo\u2019s global best-selling novel, which has now sold over 2 million copies worldwide and in 44 different languages.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n

Joining the company are Danny Hendrix<\/strong> (101 Dalmatians, UK Tour) as Veterinary Officer Martin, Clara Lioe <\/strong>(The Three Musketeers, New Vic Theatre) as Emilie \/ Joey as a Foal and Christopher Naylor <\/strong>(The Woman in Black, Fortune Theatre)as Private Klausen \/ Priest.<\/p>\n

War Horse<\/strong> received its world premiere on 9 October 2007 at the National Theatre, where it played for two seasons.<\/p>\n
