Premier League champions Liverpool<\/a> will seek to prevent their recent blip from turning into something a little more severe when they travel to Chelsea<\/a> on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Crystal Palace<\/a> ended a perfect start to the league season from Arne Slot’s men last weekend, when they claimed a dramatic 2-1 win at Selhurst Park.<\/p>\n

Liverpool were then beaten 1-0 at Galatasaray this midweek in the Champions League.<\/p>\n

Chelsea beat Benfica in Europe’s top competition but go into this game on the back of two consecutive Premier League defeats to Manchester United<\/a> and Brighton. Head coach Enzo Maresca was undermined by red cards, to Robert Sanchez and Trevoh Chalobah respectively, in those matches.<\/p>\n

Chelsea’s defeat to Brighton proved even more frustrating for Enzo Maresca as Andrey Santos<\/strong> suffered an injury during the game and is now ruled out until after the international break.<\/p>\n

The youngster joins a large pool of players on the treatment table, which includes the likes of Tosin Adarabioyo<\/strong>, Liam Delap<\/strong>, Levi Colwill<\/strong>, Dario Essugo<\/strong> and Cole Palmer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In addition to the injuries, Trevoh Chalobah<\/strong> is banned for this game after his red card against Brighton. Mykhailo Mudryk<\/strong> continues to serve a doping suspension.<\/p>\n

Since\u00a0Benoit Badiashile<\/strong> and Romeo Lavia<\/strong> are only just back from injury, it will be interesting to see if Maresca gives them a go from the start against the defending champions.<\/p>\n
