One home was hit by a tree in the Roath area of the city.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"walesonline\">There were fallen trees reported in Canton, Pontcanna, Roath, Llanishen and Pentwyn. The city council&#8217;s parks team were out removing the trees, which caused traffic disruption in many areas. Anglesey council released a list of seven roads that had been blocked by falling trees. The <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.walesonline.co.uk\/news\/wales-news\/storm-amy-shuts-m4-wales-32610715\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">M4 was also closed in both directions for several hours<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"walesonline\">One tree fell at St Peter\u2019s Church, Bedford Street, at 2pm, and hit the home of priest Chris Fuse, 76.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/0_RH041025M4TreeCardiffJPG.jpg\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>(Image: Martin Cefai)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"walesonline\">Father Fuse said: \u201cIt is our chuchhouse which was hit by the falling tree. We were fortunate. There was a fence it rested on, so it did not even break a window.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"walesonline\">\u201cIt certainly was a blessing to us because it didn\u2019t break any windows, it could have broke six or eight.\u201cThere was a loud noise, some neighbours came and they were the first people to look at it.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/0_RH041025M4TreeCardiff_02JPG.jpg\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>(Image: Martin Cefai)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"walesonline\">\u201cI\u2019ve tried to inform the council but I think they are sleeping on Saturdays. One tree close to Ysgol Y Wern blocked traffic and just missed the houses opposite.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"walesonline\">In Pentwyn, residents reported a fallen tree outside the Hollybush pub.
