Josh Windass played through the pain to put in a decent shift for Wrexham against Birmingham City on Friday night.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Josh Windass<\/a> was an injury doubt for Wrexham<\/a> ahead of their game against Birmingham City, with Phil Parkinson<\/a> revealing that Windass was carrying an ankle injury<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It looked as though Windass would be rested. But the striker started and put in a good performance before coming off midway through the second half.<\/p>\n

In the end, Wrexham drew 1-1 with Birmingham City<\/a> at the Racecourse<\/a>. It means Parkinson\u2019s side have now lost just one of their last nine games in all competitions.<\/p>\n

Now, the players have a two week break before returning to action against Stoke City after the October international break.<\/p>\n

Wrexham have certainly solidified in terms of results. They\u2019re not losing so many games and they\u2019re not conceding so many either, with each of their last games now being 1-1 draws.<\/p>\n

But the Dragons still have only two wins in nine league games so far, along with only one clean sheet. Nonetheless, there are positive signs for the months ahead and Windass has predicted that this Wrexham side will only get better and better.<\/p>\n

Posting on Instagram after the Birmingham City game, Windass said there are \u2018many more levels to go up and show\u2019, whilst also hailing George Dobson who scored his first goal of the season on Friday night.<\/p>\n

Three players who will help Wrexham get better and better<\/p>\n

Given the amount of changes to the playing squad this summer, it was always going to be the case that Wrexham might start a bit slower as the players get used to each other and to the system under Parkinson.<\/p>\n

But there is certainly reason to believe that the club can quickly shoot up the table, especially when the likes of Ben Sheaf really get going: Sheaf has had a slow start at Wrexham<\/a> but he remains a quality and proven Championship player.<\/p>\n

So too Callum Doyle. Parkinson dropped Lewis Brunt for Doyle against Birmingham City<\/a> and the former Man City man had a decent game, but there\u2019s a sense we\u2019re yet to see the best of him.<\/p>\n

One player who can do no wrong right now though is Dobson.
