\n Bromborough-based charity The Personalised Assisted Living (PALS) Trust has been awarded a \u00a33,000 grant from Persimmon Homes North West through its Community Champions initiative.\n<\/p>\n
\n Els Roberts, trustee at the PALS Trust, said: “Currently we are raising funds for a garden room to be built at the back of the building, giving much-needed extra space for the young people to enjoy some quiet time or even socialise together.\n<\/p>\n
\n “Persimmon\u2019s grant will help greatly toward to cost of this and all PALS, both young and old, are extremely grateful!”\n<\/p>\n
\n Founded in 2018, the charity supports 16 young adults with disabilities, helping them live independently in supported flats.\n<\/p>\n
\n Paul Carhart, chief executive of Wirral Methodist Housing Association, welcomed the funding.\n<\/p>\n
\n He said: “Wirral Methodist Housing were delighted to hear that the PALS group had received \u00a33,000 from Persimmon Homes towards their tenants\u2019 funds.\n<\/p>\n
\n “We as a Housing Association are really pleased to see the amount of work the group do and are very supportive towards their goals.”\n<\/p>\n
\n David Hodgson, sales director at Persimmon Homes North West, said the company is committed to making a positive impact beyond housing.\n<\/p>\n
\n He said: “What we do is about much more than just building homes, it\u2019s about leaving a lasting positive legacy in the communities that we build in.\n<\/p>\n
\n “Given our presence in the Wirral, we are always looking to support local good causes, and I am delighted we could donate to the PALS Trust.”\n<\/p>\n
