Big Brother<\/a> star Nathan King <\/a>has opened up candidly about his whirlwind experience in the house, admitting that he has one major regret from his time in the house.<\/p>\n The 25 year old Tory opened up about regretting having a brief romance<\/a> with fellow contestant Rosie, affectionately nicknamed \u201cBaked Potato\u201d. He says: \u201cHonestly, I\u2019d stay single if I could do it all again. Nobody needed to see that carry on. That was an absolute joke.\u201d<\/p>\n He reflects that the heightened emotions in the house made the connection feel more intense than it really was. \u201cWe got on really well, had a great time together, but after the show, we realised we\u2019re two very different people. As one of the few openly Tory contestants, he quickly became a lightning rod for viewers\u2019 opinions. \u201cAt first, people hated me,\u201d he admits.<\/p>\n \u201cI think it\u2019s just a reality TV thing \u2014 if you\u2019re a Tory, you\u2019re immediately seen as the villain.\u201d But Nathan insists the portrayal didn\u2019t tell the full story. \u201cFor some reason, Tories seem to do alright on these shows once viewers actually get to know you, instead of just the label. It\u2019s funny how that works.\u201d<\/p>\n Life outside the house has been a whirlwind. Nathan describes the first month<\/a> after leaving as overwhelming, especially when adjusting to online scrutiny. \u201cI got negative comments, even death threats, just for posting my opinions online. That was shocking because I\u2019m not a hateful person; I just share my thoughts.\u201d<\/p>\n Before entering Big Brother, Nathan had almost no social media presence \u2014 posting once a year on Instagram<\/a> and having just 200 followers. Today, he posts daily on TikTok, sometimes two or three times a day, while also becoming actively involved in politics and causes he cares about. \u201cBig Brother opened doors I never imagined. It\u2019s been amazing,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n The mental challenges of life in the house were also significant. Nathan explains how living in a confined space with the same people every day changes your mindset. \u201cYou get attached faster than you\u2019d expect. I\u2019m not someone who cries easily, but seeing someone leave can hit you emotionally.”<\/p>\n “You really do bond, even in just a few weeks.\u201d And while the house was physically and emotionally intense, he notes that the show\u2019s producers were meticulous in creating tension. \u201cThey know exactly how to push you to the edge without breaking you. It\u2019s all part of the game for the viewers\u2019 entertainment.\u201d<\/p>\n Nathan also talks about his friendships inside the house,<\/a> particularly his bond with Emma. \u201cShe just made me laugh. She didn\u2019t care what anyone thought, said it like it was, and wanted to have fun. We made each other\u2019s experiences so much better. For six weeks we just laughed constantly \u2014 we really took the piss out of everything and everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n Despite the highs, Nathan has learned to navigate life after the cameras. \u201cBig Brother doesn\u2019t owe you a good edit. They\u2019re making a TV show. You\u2019ve got to make your own story.\u201d<\/p>\n He\u2019s embraced single life and independence. \u201cI\u2019m happy as I am. If someone comes along who adds to my life, great, but if not, I\u2019m fine. I enjoy being able to do what I want, when I want.\u201d<\/p>\n Looking back, Nathan says the entire journey \u2014 from the intense house experience to the spotlight outside \u2014 has been unforgettable. \u201cIt was an eye-opener.
