Alexander Isak has offered a blunt assessment of Liverpool\u2019s last-minute defeat to Chelsea as the Reds suffered defeat for a third game in row. Arne Slot\u2019s men surrendered top spot in the Premier League<\/a> to Arsenal after Estevao\u2019s 95th minute winner at Stamford Bridge.<\/p>\n

The 2-1 defeat followed<\/a> on from successive losses to Crystal Palace and Galatasaray, with Liverpool<\/a> also conceding a stoppage-time winner last weekend at Selhurst Park.<\/p>\n

Isak<\/a> admitted it is the worst feeling to lose a game in such a manner, and while he is confident the Reds can respond well after the international break, he conceded they had not been good enough against Chelsea.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think we started off pretty bad,\u201d he said. \u201cWe worked our way into the game pretty well.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think we came out (for the) second half and really gave everything to get the result.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the end it\u2019s obviously tough conceding in the last minute like that.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the same way that winning like this is the best feeling, I think it\u2019s the worst to lose in this type of way.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe created chances, enough to score, but it just wasn\u2019t enough today. We just have to keep working hard, bounce back and get back to winning ways.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think the belief is there that we can (bounce back). This team has shown many times.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s never easy of course but hard work and working on details and getting back to our best. We have that belief.\u201d<\/p>\n

Isak was handed his second Premier League start for Liverpool against Chelsea and assisted Cody Gakpo<\/a>\u2019s equaliser as he continues to build up his fitness following a disjointed pre-season at former club Newcastle United.<\/p>\n

The Swede admits he is not yet at his best, but is looking forward for the rest of the season ahead as he offered an update on his progress.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel good. I\u2019ve been working hard to get back to my best,\u201d he told LFC TV<\/a> after the final whistle. \u201cStill working to get back to my best form but it was good to play out there again today.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was hoping for a different result but we keep working. I\u2019m very excited for the whole season ahead.<\/p>\n
