Bruce Springsteen<\/b> is one of the most beloved American musicians of the last half-century, a prolific singer-songwriter with a reputation for high-energy performances. <\/p>\n

Throughout his career \u2018The Boss\u2019 has never been afraid to give his take on society and politics, notably drawing the ire of President Donald Trump<\/a>. Springsteen is the subject of a new biopic film of his life and he appeared on The Jimmy Kimmel Show<\/b> this week, alongside star Jeremy Allen White<\/b>, to talk about the new film. <\/p>\n

Towards the end of the interview, Springsteen was asked for his thoughts on the state of the country. His answer was powerful. <\/p>\n

\u201cFifty years, I\u2019ve been kind of a musical ambassador for America around the world,\u201d the 76-year-old said<\/a>. \u201cI have this song, \u2018Land of Hope and Dreams,\u2019 which is kind of a prayer to the country, and we play it every night<\/b>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know for a fact that that\u2019s how many people around the world still see our country. Not as a land of fear, not as a divisiveness, not of government censorship, not of hatred. And I basically believe that that\u2019s an America that\u2019s worth fighting for.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The new biopic is entitled Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere<\/a> and it could be one of the most talked about films this fall. Directed by Scott Cooper and based on Warren Zanes\u2019 book The Making of Bruce Springsteen\u2019s Nebraska, the movie focuses on the creation of Springsteen\u2019s haunting 1982 album <\/b>Nebraska<\/b>. Written and recorded on a basic 4-track recorder in his New Jersey bedroom, the record became a landmark in American rock for its raw honest.<\/p>\n

White, best known for his work on The Bear, takes on the role of Springsteen during this pivotal period of personal battles and family tensions. Jeremy Strong<\/b> appears as longtime manager Jon Landau, with Stephen Graham <\/b>and Gaby Hoffmann<\/b> portraying Springsteen\u2019s parents.<\/p>\n

Springsteen gave his blessing to the project and even visited the set, though he chose to step back during the most emotionally charged scenes. The film is set to open in U.S. theaters on October 24, 2025.<\/b><\/p>\n
