George Russell will start Formula 1’s 2025 Singapore Grand Prix from pole position ahead of championship chasers Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri.<\/p>\n

After qualifying Williams drivers Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz – originally 12th and 13th – were thrown out of qualifying for rear wing infringements<\/a>. Sainz will now start from the grid, Albon from the pitlane after Williams took the chance to make suspension set-up changes.<\/p>\n

Then on Sunday before the race Alpine announced that it would start Pierre Gasly from the pitlane as well so it could make set-up changes to his car outside parc ferme regulations. He was only due to start 18th ahead of the penalised Williams anyway.<\/p>\n
