TBR Football can exclusively reveal how Thomas Frank is feeling about keeping Guglielmo Vicario as his number one shot-stopper at Spurs.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It has not been an easy start to the season for Vicario, who has come under big pressure from Tottenham Hotspur<\/a> supporters.<\/p>\n

The Italian goalkeeper was poor against Bodo\/Glimt and against Leeds, he parried the ball into the path of Noah Okafor, who levelled the game.<\/p>\n

Following the win over Leeds, there have been question marks raised as to whether the 28-year-old remains good enough to stay as Frank\u2019s first-choice keeper.<\/p>\n

Sources have informed TBR Football\u2019s<\/strong> chief correspondent, Graeme Bailey<\/strong>, that Tottenham and Thomas Frank<\/a> have no plans to replace Guglielmo Vicario<\/a> anytime soon.<\/p>\n

Tottenham fans want Vicario dropped<\/a> after his poor mistake against Leeds, which gifted Okafor the equalising goal at Elland Road.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Darren Ambrose thinks \u2018teams are targeting\u2019 Vicario<\/a>, especially at set pieces, and this should be a concern for Spurs.<\/p>\n

But on the flip side, Daniel Farke thought Vicario was the match-winner<\/a> for Tottenham against his Leeds side, as he made several key stops.<\/p>\n

But, Spurs remain faithful to the Italian international for now and also have Antonin Kinsky<\/a> backing him up as second choice.<\/p>\n

Speaking about the goalkeeper situation, Bailey told TBR Football<\/strong>: \u201cVicario has taken criticism from the fanbase, but it is not seen as an area of huge worry \u2013 that is not to say Spurs aren\u2019t keeping abreast of goalkeeping options, but he really isn\u2019t seen as a major weak link at this point. Like with every position, they will continue to assess, but it is not a concern for them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Paul Robinson hails Guglielmo Vicario\u2019s display vs Leeds<\/p>\n

Rather than highlighting his mistake, Spurs\u2019 former shot-stopper Paul Robinson was full of praise for Vicario and especially for a save he made later in the game.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Premier League Live, Robinson said: \u201cReally good stop. Comfortable stop from one you\u2019re expecting him to make, it was within his range.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat he did well was the big strong hand, and unlike the goal he conceded, he didn\u2019t push it into a decent area, but this one was a decent strike by Piroe, too close to him, but what he does well is put a really big hand on it and shovels it away.<\/p>\n
