Manchester United have made Matheus Cunha one of their primary targets ahead of the summer transfer window.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ruben Amorim<\/a> will make it a priority for Ineos to strengthen Manchester United\u2019s<\/a> attacking department in the summer.<\/p>\n

The Red Devils have struggled to score goals throughout the season, managing just 38 in 33 Premier League<\/a> matches. That is a shocking record that helps explain why United are sitting in the bottom half of the table.<\/p>\n

One way to address United\u2019s problems in front of goal is by signing better attacking players or identifying targets who will suit Amorim\u2019s preferred 3-4-2-1 formation.<\/p>\n

That leads us to United\u2019s interest in Matheus Cunha<\/a> since the 25-year-old is already playing in a similar system at Wolves. The Brazil international would be best suited in one of the No.10 roles under Amorim, but United must meet his release clause of \u00a362.5m<\/a>.<\/p>\n

There is optimism brewing in the air following reports of United\u2019s latest transfer activity.<\/p>\n

Ineos<\/a> are planning to get their business done early in the summer transfer window, with Cunha and Liam Delap quickly emerged as primary targets<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The latest Cunha update from Ben Jacobs suggests that nothing is done yet between United and the Brazilian forward, however, a key meeting will \u2018likely\u2019 take place next week.<\/p>\n

Jacob adds that United are looking to sign Cunha and Delap before they sell any players.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano relays the same information that United are planning a new round of talks \u2018very soon\u2019 after positive talks over the player.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Arsenal to miss out on Cunha<\/p>\n

Manchester United are not the only club interested in signing Cunha.<\/p>\n

After continuing to impress in the Premier League, Arsenal were linked with a move for the Wolves forward.<\/p>\n

Sky Sports<\/a> claims that a total of five Premier League clubs have shown interest in Cunha, including United and Arsenal.<\/p>\n

Aston Villa are also mentioned in the report but it sounds like Cunha is close to a decision over the future.<\/p>\n

Only time will tell if United are successful in their pursuit to sign Cunha, but so far things are looking positive.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
