often goes unseen but is essential in reconnecting our communities and making our road network safe.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"beltel-ebe0ecc6_root beltel-ebe0ecc6_paragraph beltel-300db776_none beltel-91174671_primary beltel-1d70522a_marginbottom5 beltel-1d70522a_margintop0 beltel-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">Storm Amy was itself partly caused by Hurricane Humerto, with Met Office metrologist Becky Mitchell saying the remnants of that weather system were \u201cswept up into the jet stream\u201d towards the islands of Ireland and Great Britain.<\/p>\n<p class=\"beltel-ebe0ecc6_root beltel-ebe0ecc6_paragraph beltel-300db776_none beltel-91174671_primary beltel-1d70522a_marginbottom5 beltel-1d70522a_margintop0 beltel-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">Looking ahead to the weather this week, Mrs Mitchell expects a \u201cquite cloudy\u201d start to Monday, \u201cperhaps with some drizzly outbreaks.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"beltel-ebe0ecc6_root beltel-ebe0ecc6_paragraph beltel-300db776_none beltel-91174671_primary beltel-1d70522a_marginbottom5 beltel-1d70522a_margintop0 beltel-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">\u201cIt does look to turn drier and brighter for most places by mid afternoon, so some good sunny spells developing,\u201d the meteorologist added. <\/p>\n<p class=\"beltel-ebe0ecc6_root beltel-ebe0ecc6_paragraph beltel-300db776_none beltel-91174671_primary beltel-1d70522a_marginbottom5 beltel-1d70522a_margintop0 beltel-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">\u201cCoastal areas still look quite cloudy generally, but inland we look to have some brightness.
