West Midlands Police said: “We were called to disorder which broke out close to the Bullring shortly after 5pm today.<\/p>\n
“A 17-year-old boy received a non life-threatening stab injury to his arm and was taken to hospital for treatment.”<\/p>\n
Witness Jordan Hart, 27, from Sheldon, said he saw a person lying on the kerb near the station.<\/p>\n
He said: “I saw about eight police cars, two British Transport armed police officers and two officers on bike patrol.<\/p>\n
“The cordons are outside the Bullring and the other cordon is across the little gulley way leading to the bull statue.<\/p>\n
“The police are just standing within the cordon and people are asking what’s happened.<\/p>\n
“There were crowds just standing and watching hoping to see something.<\/p>\n
“It just seems to be getting worse.”<\/p>\n
