Bright or sunny spells are expected across Northern Ireland<\/a> on Monday after Storm Amy hit the region.<\/p>\n It comes as weather<\/a> warnings for wind and rain were in place across NI on Friday and Saturday, with disruption caused and some schools forced to closed.<\/p>\n For Monday, October 6, the Met Office<\/a> said: “A largely cloudy start with patchy rain in the west. This will soon clear to leave the rest of the day dry with bright or sunny spells. Becoming quite warm. Maximum temperature 17C.”<\/p>\n READ MORE: Northern Ireland’s ‘spookiest’ walks to explore this Halloween<\/a>READ MORE: Belfast Grand Central Station public realm latest as Minister sets completion date<\/a><\/p>\n And for the outlook for Tuesday, October 7, to Thursday, October 9: “Outbreaks of rain spreading east on Tuesday, becoming dry later.<\/p>\n “Mainly dry on Wednesday and Thursday with some brightness in east but some light rain at times in the west.”<\/p>\n The UK long range weather forecast for Friday, October 10, to Sunday, October 19 states: “On Friday, the far north of the UK will see some rain and drizzle, and it will be rather windy here.<\/p>\n “Other western parts of the UK may also see some light rain and drizzle at times. The rest of the country will be dry with some bright or sunny spells and fairly light winds.<\/p>\n “Thereafter, high pressure is expected to dominate for most if not all of the rest of the period, bringing plenty of dry, settled weather. Cloud amounts will be variable, and some overnight fog is likely, this slowly clearing through the morning.<\/p>\n “Thicker cloud and some rain may affect the far north at times though.
