A man from Bootle said he is “fuming” because his bins have not been collected for more than four weeks. Despite claiming he\u2019s made several complaints to Sefton<\/a> Council, Michael Farrell, 47, said the bins are stacking up outside and claims the council won\u2019t tell him what the problem is.<\/p>\n Michael has been living on Condron Road North since 2023, but he said recent developments have taken their toll. Michael told the Liverpool ECHO<\/a> he has a learning disability and serious health issues relating to his liver and kidneys. Michael also suffered a brain injury when he was three-years-old, and a further accident when he was 21, which left one side of his body permanently damaged.<\/p>\n As a result, Michael said he struggles to manage day-to-day tasks and has little capacity to deal with unforeseen problems. He added: \u201cFor the last few weeks, we\u2019ve been putting the bins out on a Friday to get collected.<\/p>\n \u201cBut every time the binmen come, the bins are not getting collected. Our bins are being rejected and we don\u2019t know why.<\/p>\n \u201cOther peoples\u2019 bins are getting emptied, and we\u2019ve told Sefton Council, but they\u2019re not saying why it\u2019s not being collected.<\/p>\n \u201cHave a look around and you can see lots of rubbish that the council hasn\u2019t collected and it\u2019s getting beyond a joke now. I walked out the other day and the bins are all covered in flies and maggots because they\u2019re not getting emptied and it\u2019s just getting me down now to be honest.<\/p>\n \u201cWe noticed the flies after the first week and since then they\u2019ve been growing and growing in number.
