Grab your popcorn and dancing shoes for this Taylor Swift<\/a> movie.\n<\/p>\n On Friday, Oct. 3, as part of the release of The Life of a Showgirl, Swift coordinated a movie event tied in for the opening weekend<\/a>, aptly called The Official Release Party of a Showgirl<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n Fans flocked to theaters to see the music video for “The Fate of Ophelia” and behind-the-scenes footage of how it was made, including choreographer Mandy Moore’s process. The 89-minute film also featured Swift’s descriptions of each song playing before lyric videos for the new tracks.\n<\/p>\n A highlight of the behind-the-scenes footage features Swift, 35, catching a football for the first time as she mapped out a take for the music video.\n<\/p>\n “‘Your team’ – somebody should throw me a football,” she says after miming the lyrics. “I’m on the cart, right, and it’s going to be moving?”\n<\/p>\n Choreographer Moore likes the singer’s idea, but asks, “Do you think, T, you’re going to want to throw with your right or your left?”\n<\/p>\n “Hard to say when I have no preference because I’ve never caught a ball before,” Swift, who’s wearing a splint on her finger, quips back.\n<\/p>\n ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ – Taylor Swift.<\/p>\n Mert Alas & Marcus Piggot<\/p>\n The music video itself, which bookends the film, features several very high-production scenes of different showgirls throughout history, including Swift’s Eras Tour dancers and crew. After reports of a secret event tied to The Life of a Showgirl, she announced that the album’s opening weekend would involve a big-screen component.\n<\/p>\n “I hereby invite you to a *dazzling* soir\u00e9e, The Official Release Party of a Showgirl<\/a>: Oct 3 – Oct 5 only in cinemas!” Swift began her Instagram caption announcing the cinematic event<\/a>. “You\u2019ll get to see the exclusive world premiere of the music video for my new single \u201cThe Fate of Ophelia\u201d, along with never before seen behind-the-scenes footage of how we made it, cut by cut explanations of what inspired this music, and the brand new lyric videos from my new album The Life of a Showgirl \u2764\ufe0f\u200d\ud83d\udd25,” added Swift.<\/p>\n “Looks like it\u2019s time to brush off that Eras Tour outfit or orange cardigan\u2026 Tickets are on sale now.
