Merseyside Police were called to the Pier Head on Saturday after a body was found in the water. Emergency services<\/a> were called at around 1pm on Saturday, October 4, to reports of a concern for safety of a man.<\/p>\n When officers<\/a> arrived at the scene they found a man in his 70s dead in the River Mersey at Pier Head.<\/a> The man was pronounced dead at the scene, police say.
