Altman’s chat with the ex-Apple design chief Ive will be a highly anticipated part of this year’s event.<\/p>\n
OpenAI rocked the tech sector in May when it announced<\/a> it would buy Ive’s AI devices startup io for about $6.4 billion. <\/p>\n Ive is responsible for designing\u00a0Apple<\/a>‘s most iconic products, including the iPod, iPhone<\/a>, iPad and MacBook Air. This chat will not be livestreamed.<\/p>\n \u2014 Ashley Capoot<\/p>\n OpenAI strikes another big infrastructure deal, this time with AMD<\/p>\n Early Monday, OpenAI<\/a> announced a deal with\u00a0Advanced Micro Devices<\/a> that sent the chipmaker’s stock soaring more than 30%.<\/p>\n OpenAI will deploy 6 gigawatts of AMD’s Instinct graphics processing units over several years, the companies said.
