A source told Radar Online<\/a> in a report published on October 3, 2025, that there\u2019s \u201cno way\u201d Anne will help Harry<\/a> mend his relationship with Charles and the British royal family as a whole, even after the Duke of Sussex\u2019s recent reconciliation with his father. \u201cAnne isn\u2019t inclined to get involved in Harry\u2019s issues. She feels it\u2019s not her role \u2013 he decided to step away from royal duties, and with that choice, she believes, he also gave up the backing that comes with the family,\u201d the insider said.<\/p>\n

As for Anne\u2019s negative feelings toward Harry, another source explained that Anne<\/a>\u2014the only daughter and second child of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip\u2014knows what it\u2019s like to be a spare and has no sympathy for Harry\u2019s feelings. <\/p>\n

\u201cHad Harry sought guidance on life as the second-born, Anne would have been the ideal person to turn to. But since he\u2019s made plain he doesn\u2019t wish to embrace that role, she considers the issue finished,\u201d the insider said. <\/p>\n

The source continued, \u201cAnne<\/a> would have been perfectly placed to guide Harry. She has proved that being the second child doesn\u2019t have to mean being sidelined \u2013 it can mean becoming the monarch\u2019s most reliable support. But I don\u2019t think she will step in now. For Anne, loyalty is everything, and she sees Harry as having betrayed his father, his brother, and the entire royal institution.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another insider also explained that Anne, who has completed more than 470 official engagements at home and abroad in the past year (more than any other member of the British royal family), is too focused on her role as a princess to get involved in family drama. <\/p>\n

\u201cAnne has always been about keeping her head down and focusing on her duties,\u201d the source said. \u201cShe doesn\u2019t view it as her responsibility to sort out other people\u2019s messes \u2013 particularly when those difficulties stem from their own decisions.\u201d <\/p>\n

News of Anne\u2019s feelings toward Harry come after Harry met with Charles at Clarence House in London for a private tea on September 10. The reunion, which took place for about 55 minutes, marked the first time the father and son had seen each other in person since February 2024.<\/p>\n

After the reunion, a spokesperson for Harry slammed reports that the meeting was \u201cdistinctly formal\u201d as a way for Harry to make his way back as a working member of the British royal family<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cRecent reporting of The Duke\u2019s view of the tone of the meeting is categorically false,\u201d Harry\u2019s spokesperson said in a statement at the time. \u201cThe quotes attributed to him are pure invention fed, one can only assume, by sources intent on sabotaging any reconciliation between father and son. Presumably, those same sources have also chosen to disclose that gifts were exchanged.\u201d<\/p>\n

The representative also confirmed that Harry gave Charles a framed photograph during their visit, but clarified that the picture wasn\u2019t of him or his wife, Meghan Markle. \u201cWhile we would have preferred such details to remain private, for the sake of clarity, we can confirm that a framed photograph was handed over, however, the image did not contain the Duke and Duchess,\u201d the spokesperson said, suggesting that the picture was just of Charles\u2019 grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, whom he has not seen in more than three years.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Princess Anne is choosing her brother over her nephew in King Charles and Prince Harry\u2019s feud.
