The 43-year-old currently holds the role of Prince of Wales, a title that his father held from the age of four until 2022.

William, who has largely been one of the much-loved members, carries out royal duties and is known to be a patron for around 400 organisations. The Express asked readers last week whether they think William will make a good King. The poll, which ran between 11.40am on October 3 and 3pm on October 6, showed that a majority can see William fulfilling his potential in the historic role.

Of the 11,098 people who voted in the poll, a staggering 89% [9,920 votes] shared that they think William will be a good King.

In contrast, just 8 % [858 votes] shared that they don’t think he will fulfil the role, with an additional 3% [320 votes] revealing that they are undecided.

Taking to the comment section, one fan wrote: “He comes across as a thoroughly decent chap, and I wish him every success with his kingship…”

Another wrote: “Prince of Wales William will make an excellent king and a very caring one just like his father today…”

A third likened to William and Princess Kate to the late Queen and Prince Philip, writing: “William and Catherine will be a 2.0 version in popularity of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip.”

Another quoted something that was reportedly once said by the late Princess Diana in regards to her eldest son, writing: “Yes Diana said we were lucky with William as he was compassionate and strong… He also spent lots of time with his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II who trained him God Bless our Prince of Wales.”

This comes after William recently revealed during his appearance on a special episode for The Reluctant Traveler with Eugene Levy that “change is on [his] agenda” when he becomes monarch. He said: “I think it’s safe to say that change is on my agenda. Change for good. And I embrace that and I enjoy that change — I don’t fear it.

“That’s the bit that excites me, the idea of being able to bring some change. Not overly radical change, but changes that I think need to happen.”

Prince William will one day take on he momentous role of being monarch of the British Royal Family,…

[7708
7709,7730,7731,1760,532,8606,2831,7710,519
0":"post-479800","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-royals","8":"tag-british-royal-family","9":"tag-charles","10":"tag-charles-iii","11":"tag-king-charles","12":"tag-prince-william","13":"tag-princess-kate","14":"tag-princess-of-wales","15":"tag-royal-families","16":"tag-royal-family
["GET
