The producers of Paddington Bear are suing Spitting Image\u00a0over its foul-mouth parody of the iconic character.<\/p>\n

The satirical puppet show portrays the bear, regarded as the epitome of British politeness by many, as a deranged cocaine-sniffing creature.<\/p>\n

In a sketch for the new YouTube<\/a> series, named\u00a0Spitting Image: The Rest Is B*******,\u00a0Paddington and Prince Harry<\/a> are cast as podcast co-hosts.<\/p>\n

The red-eyed bear, speaking in a mock South American accent, says he enjoys\u00a0‘100 per cent Peruvian, biodynamic, organic, catastrophic cocaine’.<\/p>\n

‘I am from Peru, motherf*****. I am Paddington Bear from Peru,’ he adds.\u00a0<\/p>\n

StudioCanal, who produce Paddington movies, are suing British production company Avalon, who are behind the skit.<\/p>\n

They have filed a High Court complaint over the sketch, while documents show they have raised copyright concerns, Deadline <\/a>reported.<\/p>\n

The episode also sparked outrage among Paddington fans, who claimed the marmalade-loving children’s character had been ‘disrespected’.<\/p>\n

The Paddington parody shows him interviewing Elon Musk and advertising robotic sex dolls and guns. He also refers to himself as Pablo Esco-bear.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘You most likely remember me from the films Paddington, Paddington 2 and Paddington in Peru. I also had a starring role in the Netflix series Narcos, as Pablo Esco-bear. It is a joke. Laugh, muchachos,’ he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The episode ends with the bear snorting white powder before appearing to lose consciousness.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Prince Harry was also parodied and portrayed as the co-host.<\/p>\n

‘I’m here to tell my truth and make a s*** ton of money out of podcasting as I don’t have any discernible talent,’ his puppet said.<\/p>\n

Donald Trump and Keir Starmer are also satirised in the show.<\/p>\n

President Trump, wearing a baby’s bib, is featured beside King Charles in the latest episode.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Angela Rayner is also mocked. A puppet version of the Labour MP gives property advice using a website called Wrongmove in one sketch.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘Your Cabinet position may be at risk if you don’t heed proper instructions and keep up your correct stamp duty payments,’ an advert warns.<\/p>\n

Spitting Image has imitated politicians and celebrities since it first launched in 1984.<\/p>\n

It was vastly popular in the 1980s but was cancelled in 1996 after declining viewing figures.\u00a0<\/p>\n

StudioCanal and Avalon have been contacted for comment.\u00a0<\/p>\n
