Abidur Chowdhury and iPhone 17 Air<\/p>\n

Apple unveiled its slimmest smartphone to date, the iPhone Air, during its annual September event<\/a> in California.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The device, which measures just 5.6 millimetres in thickness, features a grade 5 titanium frame with Ceramic Shield on both sides and is powered by the company’s latest A19 Pro chip.<\/p>\n

The launch was introduced by Abidur Chowdhury, an industrial designer at Apple, who described the new handset as “the thinnest iPhone ever, with the power of Pro inside. A paradox you have to hold to believe.”\u00a0<\/p>\n

Abidur added that the aim was to “make an iPhone that feels like a piece of future.”<\/p>\n

Abidur Chowdhury, who was born and raised in London, has been working at Apple’s San Francisco offices since 2019. A graduate in product design and technology from Loughborough University in the United Kingdom, he previously worked with Cambridge Consultants, Curventa and Layer Design before joining Apple as an industrial designer.\u00a0<\/p>\n

His personal website notes that he is passionate about solving problems and building “innovative products people can’t bear to be without.”\u00a0<\/p>\n
