{"id":48046,"date":"2025-04-25T01:03:30","date_gmt":"2025-04-25T01:03:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/48046\/"},"modified":"2025-04-25T01:03:30","modified_gmt":"2025-04-25T01:03:30","slug":"leeds-united-told-be-ruthless-with-pl-title-winning-manager-mooted-amid-farke-sack-revelation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/48046\/","title":{"rendered":"Leeds United told &#8216;be ruthless&#8217; with PL title-winning manager mooted amid Farke sack revelation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The fallout from the shock news that Daniel Farke could be sacked despite leading Leeds United back to the Premier League has continued on Thursday, with the club\u2019s hierarchy being urged to be \u201cruthless\u201d amid growing reports that the Whites could move to appoint a Premier League title winner.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/news\/leeds-spank-stoke-clinch-promotion-burnley-bore-way-to-premier-league\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Despite securing a return to the Premier League at the weekend<\/strong><\/a>, news broke on Wednesday that 49ers Enterprises are considering sacking <a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/tag\/daniel-farke\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Farke<\/strong><\/a> in a surprise move.<\/p>\n<p>The German has led <a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/leeds-united\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Leeds United<\/strong><\/a> beyond the 90-point mark for the second time in his career, just as he did when his Norwich City side threatened the 100-point barrier during the 2020\/21 season, and when they were promoted with 94 points in 2018\/19.<\/p>\n<p>It was a topic of discussion on talkSPORT Breakfast on Thursday, as former Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor offered his thoughts on the developing situation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI just think a club of Leeds\u2019 stature, they\u2019re out of the Premier League for how many years, 18, 19 years? They\u2019ve got back in, relegated,\u201d Agbonlahor said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese owners might look at it and say nah, we\u2019ve got to be ruthless.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve seen Bournemouth do it, with Gary O\u2019Neil. One name in particular was discussed on talkSPORT Breakfast.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMourinho, would he go in at one of the three that are coming up?\u201d asked Brazil.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/tag\/jose-mourinho\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Mourinho<\/strong><\/a>, who won two Premier League titles, two Carabao Cups and an FA Cup with Chelsea \u2014 as well as the Champions League among other honours during his time at Porto \u2014 has been linked with Leeds this week.<\/p>\n<p>He\u2019s also been linked with a potential move to Scottish Premiership club Rangers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou tell me that he [Mourinho] would fancy Rangers ahead of Leeds? No chance. He\u2019d want Leeds,\u201d continued Brazil.<\/p>\n<p>Co-host Sam Ellard agreed: \u201cHe\u2019d take a way back to the Premier League.
