Trailer unveiled for spinoff about Precure<\/a> mascots<\/p>\n

The official website for Petitcure ~Precure Fairies~<\/a>, the Precure<\/a> franchise<\/a>‘s short anime spinoff centering around the little familiar mascots of the franchise’s magical girls, announced on Thursday that the anime is getting a second season on October 9. The website unveiled a trailer:<\/p>\n

The second season takes place in a strange sweets paradise. New characters from the franchise include Petit Cures Niko, Candy, Kome-Kome, Milk, Daifuku, Mepple, Mipple, Chypre, Pekorin, and Chiffon. Petit Cures Mofurun and Porun return from the first season.<\/p>\n

The anime started streaming on the franchise’s YouTube<\/a> channel and other social media venues on April 3.<\/p>\n

The “non-verbal animation” features no dialogue. The titular “Petitcure” include not just the traditional fairies throughout the franchise’s two-decade history, but also the animal Cures Komugi and Yuki from last year’s Wonderful Precure!<\/a> television series, all gathered at a “mysterious amusement park.”<\/p>\n

Franchise veteran Moeha Nochimoto<\/a> sings the spinoff’s theme song “\u2665DANZEN! kawaii! Petitcure\u2665” (\u2665TOTALLY! cute! Petitcure\u2665). This is the franchise’s first project to exclusively stream on YouTube and social media services. <\/p>\n

The spinoff credits the franchise’s Izumi Todo<\/a> as the original creator, and Yuuko Okumura<\/a> (Golden Kamuy<\/a>, Kingdom 3D director) is directing the anime at IKIF<\/a>\uff0b. Momoka Toyoda<\/a> (Liar Liar<\/a>, My Happy Marriage<\/a>) is in charge of the series scripts, and Rina Tayama<\/a> (Vampire Dormitory<\/a>) is composing the music.<\/p>\n
