(WGXA) \u2014 Nichiha USA has announced the partial closure of its manufacturing facility in Macon.<\/p>\n<p>As of Monday, production at Plant 1, dedicated to residential business, ceased certain functions, transitioning operations to Plant 2, which focuses on commercial structures. This move follows a review of the company&#8217;s long-term business priorities and aims to enhance future competitiveness.<\/p>\n<p>Plant 2 will continue to operate as the hub for Nichiha USA&#8217;s growth and expansion in the U.S. The company says it remains committed to Georgia and Macon-Bibb County, pledging to invest in the region, create jobs, and contribute positively to the local economy through Plant 2&#8217;s ongoing operations.<\/p>\n<p>The closure of Plant 1 will affect some employees, but Nichiha USA has confirmed that support will be provided to those impacted during the transition. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Macon has been more than just a place of business.
