Princess Anne previously revealed the hilarious nickname she has for her older brother, King Charles<\/a>. The Princess Royal,<\/a> 75, is known to share a close bond with the monarch, 76, with less than two years between them in age.<\/p>\n

Their strong relationship has been showcased in many public moments throughout the year but one particular moment during a 2023 documentary certainly stands out. During the documentary, titled Charles III: The Coronation Year, Anne<\/a> can be seen greeting the King at Buckingham Palace shortly after his coronation ceremony in May 2023.<\/p>\n

In an affectionate moment between the two siblings, Anne appeared to greet the KIng by saying: “Hello, Old Bean.” The nickname left the King in stitches as he burst into fits of laughter and greeted his younger sister by kissing her hand, the Express<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n

Although they are known for typically adhering to royal protocol, the sweet exchange gave fans an insight into what the family members are like behind doors.<\/p>\n

Speaking previously on The Telegraph’s Royal Insight YouTube series, the publication’s royal editor Hannah Furniss explained the “lovely moment” between Anne and Charles in more depth.<\/p>\n

Hannah described Charles and Anne as having a “very warm relationship”, adding that the Princess Royal is a key part of her brother\u2019s inner circle.<\/p>\n

She added: “She is probably in a better position than anyone to give him advice, give him a bit of sympathy when he needs it, give him a bit of a pep talk.<\/p>\n

“She understands how the Royal Family works and she has a bit of an eye to the past and to the future.”<\/p>\n

The Record previously reported that Anne does not approve of the King’s idea of a “slimmed down monarchy”.<\/a><\/p>\n

It is well known that King Charles wants to cut down on the number of working members within the Royal Family.<\/p>\n

However, Anne previously said in an interview ahead of his Coronation that the idea of a slimmed-down monarchy does not sound like a good plan, adding that she thinks the suggestion was made when there were \u201ca few more people around\u201d at the time decisions were put forward.<\/p>\n

During an interview with Canadian public broadcaster CBC, the Princess Royal said: \u201cWell, I think the \u2018slimmed-down\u2019 (monarchy) was said in a day when there were a few more people around to make that seem like a justifiable comment.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt changes a bit. I mean, it doesn\u2019t sound like a good idea from where I\u2019m standing, I have to say. I\u2019m not quite sure what else, you know, we can do.\u201d<\/p>\n
