<\/p>\nGB News presenter Patrick Christys has backed Shadow Justice Secretary Robert Jenrick after a leaked recording picked up the Tory MP saying he \u201cdidn\u2019t see another white face\u201d while filming in a Birmingham suburb.<\/p>\n
Speaking on his show, Patrick questioned whether Mr Jenrick\u2019s comments were really \u201cthat bad\u201d, describing parts of Birmingham as \u201cclose to slum conditions\u201d.<\/p>\n
He showed viewers footage of a recent trip to Sparkhill, an inner-city part of Birmingham, and said he \u201cshould have gone with an interpreter\u201d to communicate with most people.<\/p>\n
Speaking on Britain’s News Channel, the host said: “It kind of speaks for itself as you pan down that street. <\/p>\n

“I\u2019ve been to Birmingham a lot recently, I did a report from Sparkhill and honestly, I should have gone with an interpreter.<\/p>\n
“I would have needed one to communicate with the vast majority of people walking past me there.<\/p>\n
“I also went down Alum Rock Road, I don\u2019t know if anyone\u2019s had the pleasure, and I mean, that looks relatively close to slum conditions.<\/p>\n
“So was Robert Jenrick actually being racist when he mentioned that he didn\u2019t see a white face during a trip to a Birmingham suburb?\u201d<\/p>\n
