Weather maps have revealed that 18 counties across the UK could hit by a flurry of snow.<\/p>\n

As we continue through autumn and winter is on the horizon, the temperature <\/a>is getting colder.<\/p>\n

Conditions <\/a>have been mild through August, with the country even enjoying the odd sunny spell.<\/p>\n

However weather <\/a>maps from WX Charts have turned purple later this month, indicating the arrival of snow.<\/p>\n

Around 2cm of snow has been forecasted to arrive in Staffordshire<\/a>, Shropshire and Cheshire on Friday, October 24.<\/p>\n

Other parts of England where snow <\/a>is expected that day are Derbyshire, Greater Manchester, West Yorkshire, North Yorkshire and Lancashire.<\/p>\n

Snow have also been forecast to arrive over Wales, affecting Powys, Ceredigion, Gwynedd, Conwy, Denbighshire, Wrexham and Flintshire.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the northern tip of Scotland could experience snow that day too, with snowfall forecast for Ross and Cromarty, Sutherland and Caithness.<\/p>\n

In its long-range forecast from October 23 to November 6, the Met Office said: “This period is likely to see changeable conditions across the UK with low pressure systems tending to dominate.<\/p>\n

“Showers or longer spells of rain are likely at times, perhaps heavy in places.<\/p>\n
